In the Tort Orthopaedic Institute, we take a highly personal approach to caring for patients. As president of the Tort Orthopaedic Institute, Dr. Tort, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries. He dedicates most of his practice performing shoulder and knee arthroscopies, tendon and ligament surgeries, fracture treatments, second opinion revision surgeries, cartilage preservation procedures, arthroplasty, and less invasive hip arthroplasties.

As an expert with over 15 years of experience in the field of orthopedic sports medicine and joint arthroplasty, one of Dr. Tort's primary goal is the pursuit of excellence in education and research. His portfolio includes multiple on-going research projects, publications of several studies, and years of work as a consultant in educational development with numerous orthopedic implant companies. He is also an experienced and recognized article reviewer for multiple top-ranked orthopedic journals. Dr. Tort is also the first Puerto Rican participating as one of the elite orthopedic surgeons in the United States to be part of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeon (ABOS) examiners.

Dr. Tort has also participated for many years as a speaker in many orthopedic conferences around the globe.
